Living Energy Lights Daylight Drive system

Avoids the battery: nothing mined, manufactured or thrown away to store power: Strong. Living Energy Lights' own Daylight Drive page says that with direct drive 'not only is the inverter removed from the circuit, but also the battery: PV panels are connected directly to loads, with little or no controllers or other electronics', and that 'The omission of the battery from the circuit adds a significant layer of resilience and economy to the system'. The same page states the limit plainly: 'Not all DC appliances can run direct drive.' source↗ 2026
