Delivers water, air or cold when you need it, not only while the sun is up: Good. NCAT's guide says batteries are usually avoided in livestock watering systems because they 'reduce the overall efficiency of the system and add to the maintenance and cost', and names three situations where adding them makes sense: the storage tank is not elevated enough for gravity flow, there is not enough tank capacity so water must be pumped at night or in cloudy weather, and continual flow is needed. source↗ 2026
