Gemma (Google) - open weights

Open weights: Strong. Gemma 4 spans four architectures (2B/4B, a dense 31B, a 26B mixture-of-experts and a 12B multimodal model) and is released under the Apache 2.0 licence, which Google says permits responsible commercial use; a separate prohibited-use policy still applies, unlike Llama's licence there is no stated user-count threshold that requires a further licence from Google. source↗ 2026-08
